Aposund
partialThe one asset a foreign entrant cannot buy: medical weight loss delivered through the physical Danish pharmacy counter, in partnership with the pharmacists’ own trade association.
Medicals ApS, CVR 41972459, registered 22 December 2020. Direktør Kasper Banke Kristensen, a specialist in general medicine.
Model
Free video consultation with a nurse or clinical dietitian, then a booked appointment for in-person weighing and height measurement at a pharmacy, then a doctor reviews the measured values and can prescribe, typically within fifteen minutes. Delivered across more than 170 Danish pharmacies with Danmarks Apotekerforening handling administrative operations and physical presence.
Pricing
140 DKK every four weeks, the cheapest in the Danish market by a wide margin: roughly half of Sikkert Vægttab and Fit for Livet and about one seventh of Embla. The terms give a different figure of 199 DKK per month, recorded as an unresolved contradiction.
Funding
None disclosed.
Scale
12 employees, FY2025 gross profit 4.31m DKK and net profit 1.17m DKK. Launched around January 2026.
Regulatory history
Names no brand or molecule anywhere on its homepage, only three mentions of GLP-1. The most conservative advertising posture of any Danish-native operator.
In 2026
Strategically the most important finding of the Danish sweep. Every previous Danish scandal turned on patients misreporting their weight by phone or form. Aposund has taken the pharmacy counter, which apotekerloven §15 reserves to natural persons holding a pharmaceutical degree, equivalent foreign degrees included, and turned it into a biometric verification layer, while pricing below the level a pure-digital competitor can operate at.
