Three contradictions we are recording rather than resolving
German price binding. The ECJ in C-148/15 and a July 2025 BGH decision indicate EU mail-order pharmacies are not bound by German fixed Rx pricing. A 2024 Munich appellate ruling reportedly upholds price binding against foreign senders. Both are in the register. See the Dutch route.
Oral Wegovy’s EU status. Five research passes found the European Commission authorisation of 15 July 2026 with a primary Novo Nordisk source. One pass, reading the EMA EPAR pages, concluded neither oral product is EU-approved. The atlas follows the EC decision, and flags the discrepancy. See the pill.
Which EU states allow prescription mail order. The ABDA factsheet, the source most analyses rely on, lists seven: Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Malta, the Netherlands and Sweden. Two of those seven failed against national primary sources. Lithuania has permitted it since 12 July 2022 under ministerial order V-1491, with a public VVKT register, and is absent from the list. Malta is on the list although its own Medicines Authority states the law does not provide for establishing internet pharmacies and that none exist.
