ViaSlim
researchedfull dossierThe structural benchmark in Switzerland, and the one whose caution is more presentational than real. A Swiss entity with Swiss-licensed doctors, physical practices and Redcare distribution behind it, marketing itself as too careful to name a medicine, while publishing a public dose calculator for two of them.
ViaSlim AG, CHE-202.708.921, Zürich, incorporated 10 May 2024, plus a Bern branch, CHE-265.796.948
Model
Prescriber, not dispenser. ViaSlim runs the clinical front end from Zürich and Bern; MediService AG (Redcare-owned, Zuchwil SO) dispenses, and the patient contracts with MediService, not ViaSlim, for the medicine under AGB 4.5. Redcare Apotheke Schweiz is a third leg, sending traffic through its own Online-Arzt-Service Adipositas.
Two tracks: a CHF 0 insurance track requiring an on-site Zurich consultation, which covers consultations and dietetics but not the medication; and a self-pay track. Six languages in the funnel, four on the site, in a market where nobody serves Romandie or Ticino natively.
Ownership
No holding company, no foreign parent, no subsidiary. Founders Dr. Gezim Dervishi and Norbert Niebuhr each hold sole signature; Dr. Adel Abdel-Latif, a non-physician consultant domiciled in Dubai, joined the board on 15 July 2025 with restricted joint-two signature and no accompanying capital event.
The Bern branch sits inside Prof. Dr. Jörg Zehetner’s Swiss1Chirurgie AG, whose Klinik Beau Site is a SMOB-recognised bariatric Referenzzentrum. That link was created eleven months before the BAG published criteria requiring exactly it, and it is the best-constructed piece of the model.
Pricing
Three self-pay prices live simultaneously in three systems: CHF 225 on every marketing page, CHF 299 at the actual checkout, and CHF 499 for the tirzepatide tier the marketing site never mentions. Billing is every 28 days, so 13 periods a year, giving CHF 3,887 or CHF 6,487 annually. The CHF 0 track still costs the patient franchise plus 10% Selbstbehalt, which ViaSlim’s own blog puts at CHF 1,000 to 3,200 a year.
Funding
No priced equity round has ever closed. Across all six SHAB publications since incorporation there is not one Kapitalerhöhung: share capital has been CHF 100,000 unchanged since 29 April 2024. The Revisionsstelle was waived at incorporation, so there are no audited accounts and no filing obligation. The only public statement is bootstrap funding plus an unnamed angel investor specialising in obesity, with a pre-seed “planned” as of March 2025. Not on Innosuisse, not in any startup database.
Scale
Self-reported and internally inconsistent: 1,131+ registrations on the Redcare-facing page against 3,000+ on the membership page, plus 5,000+ consultations and 2,000+ GLP-1 courses. Trustpilot has 38 reviews, clustered October to November 2025. Headcount undisclosed; eleven people are named.
One genuinely candid disclosure: an internal retrospective cohort, n = 358 with an ethics vote, reporting minus 13.1% at 20 weeks at a median dose of 1.3mg against the 2.4mg STEP-1 target. It sits behind the referrer gate where no patient sees it.
Regulatory history
No Swissmedic action naming ViaSlim was found, but Swissmedic does not publish most advertising interventions and its posture is the most aggressive in Europe: in January 2025 it ordered Blick, NZZ and 20 Minuten to delete GLP-1 journalism.
Against that standard ViaSlim is materially exposed by its own published content: an indexed public dose-per-click calculator naming Semaglutid and Tirzepatid, 88 blog posts naming Wegovy 176 times, and an ungated “Wegovy vs. Mounjaro” comparison inside its own funnel.
The bigger question is the March 2026 BAG obesity-centre recognition framework, which turns ViaSlim’s self-declared “erstes hybrides Adipositaszentrum der Schweiz” into something a SMOB and SGED committee must grant. It has no endocrinologist on the roster.

What this dossier changes
A day ago this atlas recorded ViaSlim as the most legally careful operator in Switzerland, naming no molecule anywhere public. That is wrong. ViaSlim publishes an indexed, ungated dose-per-click calculator for Semaglutid and Tirzepatid, 88 blog posts naming Wegovy 176 times, and an unauthenticated “Wegovy vs. Mounjaro” comparison with per-brand prices and efficacy percentages inside its own funnel. It has not chosen a more conservative posture than DoktorABC or Apomeds. It has chosen a different placement, and it is arguably more exposed, because the exposure looks accidental rather than considered.
Corporate
Every operating entity, and the chain from the local company up to the ultimate parent.
| Entity | Jurisdiction | Number | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| ViaSlim AGinc. 2024-05-10 | Zürich, Switzerland | CHE-202.708.921 / CH-020.3.054.276-9 | The operating company. Asylstrasse 104, 8032 Zürich since 6 August 2025, previously c/o Med-Hub AG. CHF 100,000 in 1,000 registered shares, vinkuliert. Revisionsstelle opted out on 29 April 2024, so no audited accounts and no filing obligation. |
| ViaSlim AG, Zweigniederlassung Berninc. 2024-09-11 | Bern, Switzerland | CHE-265.796.948 / CH-036.9.099.949-7 | Registered purpose is nutrition counselling and trading in goods, not medicine. Domiciled c/o Center of Excellence für Übergewichtschirurgie GmbH, then from 30 April 2025 c/o Swiss1Chirurgie AG. Both are Jörg Zehetner entities. Branch manager Niebuhr, sole signature. |
| MediService AG | Zuchwil SO, Switzerland | CHE-108.428.075 | The dispensing pharmacy. Redcare Pharmacy’s Swiss specialty mail-order arm. The patient contracts with MediService, not ViaSlim, for the medicine (AGB 4.5). |
| Redcare Pharmacy Switzerland | Switzerland / Netherlands group | n/a | Demand channel. Its Online-Arzt-Service Adipositas links out to viaslim.ch/de/redcare for prescribing and to MediService for dispensing. |
| Swiss1Chirurgie AG / Center of Excellence für Übergewichtschirurgie GmbH | Bern | n/a | Prof. Dr. Jörg Zehetner’s entities, and the Bern branch’s successive registered addresses. Klinik Beau Site Bern is a SMOB-recognised bariatric Referenzzentrum, which is a genuine and deliberate structural asset. |
| Med-Hub AG | Zürich | CHE-287.892.804 | Not a parent. A medical-practice infrastructure operator founded by plastic surgeon Jian Farhadi, used as ViaSlim’s c/o domicile for its first fifteen months. Do not read it as ownership. |
NO HOLDING COMPANY. NO FOREIGN PARENT. NO SUBSIDIARY.

Zweck: Ernährungsberatung und Handel mit Waren aller Art
Commercial chain, not corporate:
Redcare Apotheke CH ──prescribing──▶ ViaSlim
──dispensing──▶ MediService AG (Redcare-owned)Licences
Who actually holds the pharmacy registration, the clinical registration and the prescribers. This is the block that most often contradicts a company's own description of itself.
The Zweck reads “Entwicklung, Implementierung und den Betrieb von digitalen und physischen sowie multidisziplinären Gesundheitszentren”. It never says Führung einer ärztlichen Praxis. Compare Zehetner’s own Bariatric Center Bern AG, whose purpose expressly does. A drafting choice with consequences for Betriebsbewilligung scope.
Zurich requires the fachlich verantwortliche Leitung to hold a valid Berufsausübungsbewilligung in the Canton of Zurich and to be demonstrably integrated into management. MedReg-derived data records Asylstrasse 104 as a practice location for Niebuhr and Dervishi, which is consistent with an authorisation without proving one. This is the single most valuable follow-up in the file, and both cantons answer written enquiries.
The strongest corporate finding here. ViaSlim markets on-site medical consultations in Bern and advertises “3 Standorte vor Ort” with Erstkonsultation, Anamnese, Labordiagnostik and BIA. Either the Bern medical activity is legally attributed to the Zurich head office, making the branch registration cosmetic, or the branch is operating outside its registered purpose.
The homepage now advertises “Jetzt auch in Zürich, Basel, Bern & vor Ort”. If there is physical medical activity in either Basel canton, a third Betriebsbewilligung is required and no corporate footprint supports it.
Register-derived, secondary, because medregom.admin.ch was network-blocked. Niebuhr: “Dipl. Arzt”, not Dr. med., AIM 2024, licensed Zürich. Dervishi: “Praktischer Arzt”, status “Assistent”, CH 2024, also on record at Hirslanden Onkologie. Zehetner: Viszeralchirurgie, licensed Bern only, ViaSlim not among his registered practice addresses, and his professorship is a USC title. Benninger: AIM, licensed Schwyz, practising in Küssnacht am Rigi. Lasica: “Ärztin in Weiterbildung” per ViaSlim itself. Abdel-Latif is not a physician.
ViaSlim describes Niebuhr as “Dr. med. … Facharzt für Allgemeine Innere Medizin FMH”; the register-derived record shows Dipl. Arzt with no doctorate, and the commercial register lists him without any Dr. prefix, unlike his two co-directors. ViaSlim describes Dervishi as “Facharzt für Allgemeinmedizin (D)”; the record shows Praktischer Arzt, the basic Swiss title, with status Assistent. These are the most checkable credential claims in the file.
It prescribes; the pharmacy dispenses. No canton publishes a searchable register of mail-order permit holders, so the permit instrument itself is unverified.
A @hin.ch address cannot be self-assigned, so possession is reasonable evidence. HIN publishes no searchable directory.
Money
The register answer is decisive, and negative
Across all six SHAB publications since incorporation there is not one Kapitalerhöhung, not one Statutenänderung touching capital, and not one new shareholder event. Share capital has been CHF 100,000 fully paid, unchanged, from 29 April 2024 to today.
So no priced equity round has ever closed into the cap table. Whatever money has arrived came as founder capital, convertible loan, SAFE-equivalent, revenue or shareholder loan, none of which touch the register. Combined with the Revisionsstelle opt-out, there are no audited accounts and no filing obligation: revenue, burn and headcount are unobtainable from any public Swiss source.
The only substantive public statement is Startupticker’s launch piece of 27 March 2025: bootstrap financing by the founders, initial funding from an unnamed angel investor specialising in obesity treatment, and a Pre-Seed round being planned. No round has been announced since. Nothing on Crunchbase, Dealroom, EU-Startups or the Swiss Startup Radar. Not on the Innosuisse list of approved start-up innovation projects. No Venturelab, no accelerator, no grant.
The Abdel-Latif appointment on 15 July 2025 was not accompanied by any capital event. Given his profile, a consultant with his own AG, domiciled in Dubai, appointed with restricted joint-two signature while both founders keep sole signature, it reads more like a governance or investor-representation seat than a control transaction. The domicile move three weeks later, out of shared practice infrastructure into ViaSlim’s own Zurich address, is consistent with a funding event but nothing corroborates it.
The traction numbers contradict each other on the live site
ViaSlim publishes different figures on different pages simultaneously:
| Metric | Value | Page | |---|---|---| | Patientenanmeldungen | 1,131+ | /redcare | | Patientenanmeldungen | 3,000+ | /membership | | Konsultationen im ersten Jahr | 5,000+ | /about-us, /zuweiser | | Begleitete GLP-1-Verläufe | über 2,000 | /zuweiser |
The Redcare-facing landing page, the one a distribution partner sends traffic to, is running the stale number. Use 3,000+ registrations and 5,000+ consultations as the current self-reported scale.
Headcount is not disclosed. The about-us page names eleven people, six physicians, four nutrition professionals and one care manager. That is a floor, not a headcount.
The one number that is unusually honest
ViaSlim publishes an internal retrospective cohort, ViaSlim RWE-01, n = 358, with an ethics vote and a manuscript submitted for publication. It reports −13.1% weight loss in completers at 20 weeks or more, at a median dose of 1.3mg semaglutide against the 2.4mg STEP-1 target, with the caveat that it is not a registered trial and may not generalise.
Publishing a below-trial result, and disclosing that the median patient never titrates to the licensed weight-management dose, is candid in a way nothing else in this atlas is. It is their strongest credibility asset.
It is also commercially revealing, and it appears only on the referrer-facing page, where no patient will see it.

Positioning
The actual words. Paraphrase loses the evidence.
Heute nimmt man medizinisch ab. Ohne zu Hungern.
Today you lose weight medically. Without going hungry.
Subhead: “Die erste digitale Abnehmklinik der Schweiz. Jetzt auch in Zürich, Basel, Bern & vor Ort.” Basel appears in the hero and nowhere in the commercial register.
100% Entwickelt von Schweizer Ärzten & Ernährungsberatern · Effektiv Abnehmen mit modernsten Medikamenten · Diskret, ohne Vorurteile: Online oder Vor-Ort in Zürich & Bern
100% developed by Swiss doctors and nutritionists · Effective weight loss with the most modern medicines · Discreet, without prejudice: online or on site in Zurich and Bern
Note the internal inconsistency: the subhead says Zürich, Basel, Bern; the bullet immediately below says Zürich and Bern.
Wir sind ein zugelassenes ärztliches Zentrum für Übergewichtsmedizin (Adipositaszentrum) und begleiten dich nicht nur digital, sondern auch vor Ort in Zürich.
We are an approved medical centre for obesity medicine (obesity centre) and support you not only digitally but also on site in Zurich.
This single clause carries the entire reimbursement proposition, and it sits in a collapsed FAQ answer rather than next to the CHF 0 claim. The referrer page states it more boldly: “ViaSlim ist das erste hybride Adipositaszentrum der Schweiz.”
ViaSlim kümmert sich um alles: Wir prüfen deine Voraussetzungen, stellen alle nötigen Unterlagen zusammen und übernehmen den gesamten Kostengutsprache-Prozess für dich.
ViaSlim takes care of everything: we check your prerequisites, compile all necessary documents and take over the entire cost-coverage-approval process for you.
Krankenkasse / Von der Grundversicherung abgedeckt / Core Transformation / 0 CHF /Monat*
The app footnote, not the website card, admits: “Abrechnung über Versicherung. Du zahlst nur Franchise + 10% Selbstbehalt.” ViaSlim’s own blog quantifies that at CHF 1,000 to 3,200 a year. And a separate app string says plainly: “Medikamentenkosten sind nicht enthalten*”. So CHF 0 covers consultations and dietetics, not the drug, and is not zero.
“5.0 Durchschnittliche Bewertung” on the homepage · “4,8 von 5 Sternen” on selbsttest.viaslim.ch · a mislabelled “5.0 / 4.8” block on /redcare · “Bekannt aus den Medien” as a logo strip with no article links, no publication names in text and no dates
Trustpilot has 38 reviews, clustered October to November 2025. Given the January 2025 Swissmedic actions against Ringier, NZZ and 20 Minuten over weight-loss journalism, an unsourced “as seen in the media” strip on a page selling GLP-1 therapy is itself a risk surface.
Naming and gating
Prescription-only medicines cannot be advertised to the public anywhere in Europe. So how does this competitor refer to the drug, and what stands between a visitor and the brand name?
The naming discipline is a veneer on four pages, and it collapses everywhere else
It does hold on the German homepage, /female, /male, /why-viaslim, /about-us and their translations, which use only euphemism: modernste Medikamente, ärztlich verschriebene Wirkstoffe, Originalmedikament. The JSON-LD is clean, a MedicalClinic graph with no Offer and no drug names.
It breaks in six places, none of them gated:
| Location | What is exposed | |---|---| | Homepage feature grid | “Moderne Medikamente / GLP-1-Medikamente bei medizinischer Indikation” | | `/klick-rechner` | A public, sitemap-listed, indexable dose-conversion tool for prescription injectables, naming Semaglutid and Tirzepatid, with pen strengths and a click-per-dose reference table | | /zuweiser | “Medikamentöse Therapie nach Leitlinie Semaglutid, Tirzepatid”, with quantified efficacy of ~21% and ~15% | | 88 German blog posts | Wegovy 176 mentions, Semaglutid 586, Ozempic 88, Tirzepatid 34 | | /sunday meta description | “Evidenzbasierte Nahrungsergänzungsmittel für deine GLP-1-Therapie” | | The onboarding funnel bundle | Mounjaro 130 times, Ozempic 12 times |
Mounjaro appears zero times on the website and 130 times in the funnel bundle.
The klick-rechner page also ships unreplaced Webflow boilerplate live and submitted to Google: “Eyebrow Text Here”, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet elit”, “Button Text”.
The funnel fully inverts the discipline, and none of it needs a login
Decoded from the public onboarding bundle. The German strings are compiled straight into it:
programLanding.compare.title= “Wegovy vs. Mounjaro”compare.wegovyLoss= “17 %”,mounjaroLoss= “22 %”compare.wegovySpecial= “Senkt nachweislich das Risiko für Herz-Kreislauf-Ereignisse”compare.rowPrice= “Preis pro Monat”, rendered per brandquizLayout.sidebar.description= “Fragst du dich, ob deine Versicherung Medikamente wie Ozempic® oder Wegovy® abdeckt?”
The same strings exist in six languages including Albanian and Spanish. And the router’s _authenticated guard covers only the dashboard and appointment routes: `/program-medication`, `/program-duration`, `/plan-summary` and `/results` are unauthenticated. The branded product imagery is served openly with no cookie and no auth header, at up to 377KB per file.
Assessment. ViaSlim has not chosen a different regulatory posture from DoktorABC or Apomeds. It has chosen a different placement: brand names moved off the Webflow marketing shell and into the blog, which is not gated, and into an SPA one subdomain over, which is also not gated. The euphemism on the homepage buys very little when viaslim.ch/klick-rechner publishes a click-per-milligram dosing table.
Why this matters more in Switzerland than anywhere else in this atlas
Swissmedic’s posture on art. 31 and 32 HMG is the most aggressive in Europe. In January 2025 it sent cease-and-desist letters under penalty to Blick, NZZ and 20 Minuten demanding deletion of editorial articles about weight-loss injections, on the reasoning that even mere information about medication uses constitutes advertising if it is designed and suitable to influence consumer behaviour.
Against that standard, ViaSlim’s public content is materially more exposed than the journalism Swissmedic went after. Three specifics:
- The
/zuweiserpage names both molecules with quantified efficacy and is reachable by anyone. The only barrier is a self-declaration button, “Ja, ich bin medizinische Fachperson”. Swissmedic has consistently treated unverified self-declaration gates as insufficient to convert Publikumswerbung into Fachwerbung. - That same page states “Zulassungsstatus und mögliche Off-Label-Anwendungen werden im Einzelfall geprüft” while presenting Tirzepatide, which is not on the Spezialitätenliste for weight reduction in Switzerland. Publicly framing an off-label pathway is a distinct additional risk.
- The consumer blog carries roughly 60 posts on GLP-1 pharmacology, dosing, side effects and discontinuation, plus posts naming Swissmedic and specific insurers. This is exactly the category of content Swissmedic ordered deleted from national newspapers.
No Swissmedic action naming ViaSlim was found. But this is the highest-probability enforcement vector in the file, higher than the licensing question, and it is entirely self-inflicted through published content.
Funnel
Every screen from landing to checkout. Three gates are marked: where price is first revealed, where payment is taken, and where the clinical assessment sits. The order of those three is the commercial model.
- 1 to 5. BMI and comorbidity
Framed throughout as “Prüfe deine GLP-1 Versicherungsdeckung, schnell und einfach in 2 Minuten”
captures: Gender, height, weight, symptoms, comorbidities
Height and weight are self-declared with format validation only. The comorbidity screen is what drives reimbursement eligibility.
- 6. Prior GLP-1 use
“Hast du in den letzten 6 Monaten GLP-1 Medikamente wie **Wegovy, Ozempic oder Tirzepatid** genutzt?”
The medicine is named here: before email, before an account, before any price, behind nothing at all.
- 7 to 9. Contraindications, pregnancy, disqualificationclinical gate
“Leider passt unser Programm aktuell nicht zu dir… Unser Programm ist für einen BMI über {threshold} vorgesehen, dein BMI liegt aktuell bei {bmi}.”
The ineligibility screen offers a “Daten korrigieren” button, which lets a rejected user walk back and edit the very biometrics that disqualified them. No cooling-off, no lockout, no referral to non-pharmacological care. Thresholds encoded: Core BMI 28, Holistic BMI 27.
- 10. Email
“Gute Nachrichten: Du bist qualifiziert für den nächsten Schritt.” Plus: “Ich möchte exklusive Angebote & Inhalte zu den Produkten und Dienstleistungen von ViaSlim per E-Mail erhalten.”
captures: Email, marketing consent
- 11. Account creationidentity gate
Six-digit OTP, “Bestätigen & Konto erstellen”
- 12. Results
“Verfügbare Medikamente” table: Semaglutid / Wegovy® / GLP-1 / Ø15%, and Tirzepatid / Mounjaro® / GLP1-GIP Dual / Ø22%, with NEJM citations
- 13. Programme choiceprice gate
Core Transformation CHF 0* versus Holistic Reset **CHF 299**
Price is first shown here, and it is CHF 299, not the CHF 225 advertised on the website that sent the user here.
- 14 to 15. Medication and duration
“Wegovy vs. Mounjaro” picker with per-brand price and weight loss; then monthly, 6-month or 12-month
The 6-month and 12-month options carry a Mindestlaufzeit during which ordinary cancellation is excluded, which the marketing card’s “Monatlich kündbar” flatly contradicts.
- 16 to 17. Insurance details and paymentpayment gate
Insurer, card number, model, then “erster Monat 249, danach 299 pro 28 Tage”, AGB checkbox, “Zahlungspflichtig bestätigen”
- 18. Consultation booking
“Eine erste Vor-Ort-Konsultation in unserer Praxis in Zürich oder Basel **wird empfohlen**”
The mandatory on-site Zurich consultation is never a hard funnel gate. The website FAQ says it is “in der Regel notwendig”; the app says it “wird empfohlen”. Booking happens after payment.
Pricing
Three self-pay prices, live simultaneously, in three different systems
| Where | Product | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing site pricing card, all pages, all languages | Holistic Reset | 225 CHF / 28 Tage |
| Onboarding app | Holistic Reset | 299 CHF / 28 Tage, first period 249 |
| Blog and app range | Holistic Reset, dual GIP/GLP-1 | 499 CHF / 28 Tage |
| /redcare partner landing page | Holistic Reset | 225 CHF, the stale figure |
CHF 225 is what the marketing site advertises. CHF 299 is what the checkout charges. CHF 499 is the tirzepatide tier, which the marketing site never mentions at all. The flat “225 CHF, Medikament inklusive” card conceals that there are two molecules at very different prices. Only the blog explains it: “299 CHF pro Monat mit dem GLP-1-Agonisten oder 499 CHF pro Monat mit dem dualen GIP/GLP-1-Agonisten.” And “/Monat” is not a month. AGB 4.2.2 b: “Ein «Monat» im Sinne der Laufzeitangaben entspricht einem Abrechnungszeitraum von 28 Tagen.” Their own blog does the arithmetic they never do on the pricing page: 13 billing periods a year, so CHF 3,887 or CHF 6,487 annually.
The CHF 0 track, and what it actually costs
| Element | Reality |
|---|---|
| Headline | “0 CHF /Monat*” |
| What is covered | Medical consultations and Ernährungsberatung, billed to basic insurance |
| What is not covered | The medication. App string: “Medikamentenkosten sind nicht enthalten” |
| What the patient still pays | Franchise plus 10% Selbstbehalt. ViaSlim’s own blog: CHF 1,000 to 3,200 a year |
| Eligibility stated | BMI over 35, or over 28 with a weight-related comorbidity |
| Eligibility not stated | The prescriber restriction. Nowhere does ViaSlim disclose that the BAG Limitatio reserves prescribing to Endokrinologie/Diabetologie FMH or accredited obesity centres. The string “300” returns zero hits sitewide |
| Also not stated on the card | The 16-week response gate, and that a completed or planned bariatric operation excludes coverage entirely, while “Chirurgie” is marketed as one of five treatment pillars |
The 28-day guarantee is three different promises
| Where | What it promises |
|---|---|
| AGB 8.6 | Not a Garantie but a Zusicherung. Medical grounds only, before a further delivery is organised, once per user, and refunds “abzüglich der Kosten für … Medikamente, die bereits vorbereitet, versendet oder abgegeben wurden” |
Since the medication ships in period one, the deductions in AGB 8.6 can reduce the refund to close to nothing. The marketing card’s “if it doesn’t meet your expectations” has no basis in the AGB at all, and the funnel’s “in full” is directly contradicted by it. AGB 7.4 also confirms there is no statutory withdrawal right under Swiss law, and 4.4 that dispensed prescription medicines cannot be returned or refunded.
Everything else
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Withings smart scale, optional, one-off | CHF 149 |
| No-show, Ernährungsberatung or coaching | CHF 50 |
| No-show, ärztliche Konsultation | CHF 75 |
| Nutrition coaching sessions | CHF 108.90 / 84.70 / 70.40 |
| ViaSlim x Sunday Natural supplements | CHF 18.90 to 59.90 |
| Cancellation notice on the monthly plan | 7 days to the end of the billing period, not mentioned in the FAQ copy |
Ernährungsberatung is not in the Holistic bundle. The app string reads “Ernährungsberatung optional” and the comparison table says “Optional, über Versicherung abgedeckt”. The marketing page’s “Medikament inklusive” framing obscures that dietetics, one of the four advertised pillars, is billed separately to insurance.
Surface
Domains from certificate transparency, not guesswork. Staged markets and internal tooling show up here first.
The Redcare partnership is real, and the landing page for it is abandoned
What Redcare says about ViaSlim: its Online-Arzt-Service Adipositas page describes a three-step telemedicine flow, links out with “Termin online anfragen” to viaslim.ch/de/redcare, and names MediService as the fulfilment arm with free shipping in one to two days. It names no prices and no medicines, so Redcare is running the discipline ViaSlim only pretends to.
What ViaSlim says about Redcare: essentially nothing. The word “RedCare” appears in exactly two places on viaslim.ch/redcare, the <title> and the og:title. The rendered body has zero Redcare branding, no logo, no partnership explanation and no mention of MediService. It is a byte-for-byte stale clone of an older ViaSlim homepage, still showing “Jetzt auch in Zürich vor Ort” with no Bern and no Basel, the outdated 1,131 patient count, the broken ratings block, and the CHF 225 price the checkout will not honour.
A distribution partner is sending traffic to a page that misstates the locations, the scale, the rating and the price.
MediService is named by ViaSlim in three low-visibility places only, never in marketing: the Datenschutzerklärung (with a typo, “Medikamentenliferung”), AGB 4.5 (“Im Rahmen der Medikamentenbestellung treten Sie in eine Geschäftsbeziehung mit der MediService AG”), and one customer testimonial.
One trap. ViaSlim links to booking.mymediservice.ch/viaslim/. Despite the domain, this is not MediService AG. Its Impressum names MEDISYN SA in Lucerne; it is the blood-draw booking system, listing 11 phlebotomy sites, not the 12 Startupticker reported. Anyone reading the domain alone will wrongly conclude they have proven the MediService link.
The SEO estate ranks on exactly the words the marketing pages avoid
88 German posts, 134 blog URLs. German-only for anything commercial.
Themes: GLP-1 clinical management (~30 posts on side effects, titration, discontinuation, muscle preservation); reimbursement and cost (~10, the highest commercial intent); competitor comparison (4); safety and counter-positioning (~6).
The programmatic seam is named insurers. Helsana, SWICA and CSS each get a targeted post. Concordia, Sanitas, Visana and Groupe Mutuel are unclaimed, which is the obvious expansion.
There are also four competitor comparison posts: viaslim-vs-weight-doctors, viaslim-vs-ovivamed-vs-everyman-health, schweizer-abnehm-anbieter-vergleich-2026, and a “how to choose a clinic” piece framed as seven neutral test questions. Note that two of those competitors, Weight Doctors and Everyman Health, did not surface in the market sweep and should be added to the Switzerland page.
And one post is a Faktencheck of Swiss media coverage of GLP-1 side effects, which is a bold thing to publish in the jurisdiction where the regulator has been ordering newspapers to delete GLP-1 articles.
The operational surface is unusually leaky
Webflow behind Cloudflare, with the preload CSS still named `viaslim-staging.webflow.shared…min.css`, a staging asset name in production. The funnel is a separate SPA on onboarding.viaslim.ch.
What is publicly readable without authentication: all copy and pricing in six languages compiled into one JS bundle, the complete route table, branded product imagery, a hardcoded i18n API key, lorem-ipsum pages in the production sitemap, and internal competitive-intelligence report slugs published with dates.
Anyone can diff ViaSlim’s pricing weekly by re-fetching a single JS file. For a competitor, that is the cheapest monitoring setup in this atlas.
The Impressum is also defective. It states “Eingetragen im Handelsregister des Kantons Zürich: CH-036.9.099.949-7”. That CHID is the Bern branch, registered in Bern. The Zurich AG’s CHID is CH-020.3.054.276-9. No UID is given anywhere, no named responsible person, no medical director, no supervisory authority. Art. 3 Abs. 1 lit. s UWG requires clear identification of the supplier; this is a low-cost complaint for a competitor or SECO. The nav also carries a “Kosten” link that returns Page Not Found.
Reputation
Read the one-star reviews properly. They describe the operational model from the outside.
Small, young, and inconsistently reported
Trustpilot: 38 reviews, clustered 26 October to 29 November 2025. Trustpilot returned 403 to every fetch, so the score is secondary. ViaSlim’s own pages claim 5.0 on the homepage, 4.8 on selbsttest.viaslim.ch, and a mislabelled “5.0 / 4.8” on /redcare. The balance of its own evidence points to 4.8, and the homepage 5.0 should be treated as unreliable.
A Trustpilot Zurich location sub-profile exists, which indicates a claimed and location-verified business profile.
Google review counts for the Zurich and Bern practices could not be retrieved and are flagged as a gap rather than guessed. A Places API lookup on the two linked place IDs would close it in minutes.
No Swiss press coverage was found, despite a “Bekannt aus den Medien” logo strip with no article links, no publication names in text and no dates.
The credibility asset nobody is meant to see
The referrer page publishes ViaSlim RWE-01: n = 358, ethics vote obtained, manuscript submitted, reporting −13.1% weight loss in completers at 20 weeks or more, at a median dose of 1.3mg against the 2.4mg STEP-1 target, with the caveat that it is not a registered trial and may not generalise.
A company publishing a result below the trial benchmark, and disclosing that most of its patients never reach the licensed dose, is doing something none of the UK operators in this atlas do. It is their best asset.
It is behind the self-declaration gate, on a page aimed at referring physicians, where no patient will ever see it.
Visual evidence
Captured live from the public site. Each carries its URL and the date it was taken.

The finding that reverses the atlas’s previous read. A public, indexed, sitemap-listed dose-conversion tool naming Semaglutid and Tirzepatid, with pen strengths and a click-per-dose reference table, on a site whose own copy says prescription medicines may not be named before a medical evaluation. No gate of any kind.

Homepage. “Heute nimmt man medizinisch ab. Ohne zu Hungern.” The subhead advertises Zürich, Basel and Bern; there is no Basel entity in the commercial register, and the bullet immediately below says only Zürich and Bern. The Trustpilot block shows a “5.0” the company’s own other pages contradict.

The only barrier in front of the referrer page: a self-declaration button, “Ja, ich bin medizinische Fachperson”. Swissmedic has consistently treated unverified self-declaration as insufficient to convert public advertising into professional information.

One click later. The clinician roster, with Prof. Zehetner at the right. Behind this gate sit both molecules named with quantified efficacy, an off-label framing for tirzepatide, and the RWE-01 cohort data that patients never see.

The “Kosten” link in the primary navigation returns Page Not Found. Small, but of a piece with the staging asset names, the lorem ipsum in the sitemap and the Impressum citing the wrong canton’s register number.
Exposure
Rulings, investigations and open matters, dated. Then: what is still live on the site that the ruling was about.
Revisionsstelle waived at incorporation: “Gemäss Erklärung vom 29.04.2024 wurde auf die eingeschränkte Revision verzichtet.” No auditor, no audited accounts, no public financials, no filing obligation. Combined with the absence of any capital event, this makes ViaSlim’s finances entirely opaque from outside.
The Bern branch is registered with the purpose “Erbringung von Dienstleistungen im Bereich Ernährungsberatung sowie Handel mit Waren aller Art”. ViaSlim markets on-site medical consultations in Bern. Either the branch registration is cosmetic and the medical activity attaches to Zurich, or the branch operates outside its registered purpose. A question for the Kanton Bern Gesundheitsamt.
Swissmedic sent letters under penalty to Blick, NZZ and 20 Minuten demanding deletion of editorial articles about weight-loss injections, reasoning that even mere information about medication uses constitutes advertising if it is designed and suitable to influence consumer behaviour.
No action naming ViaSlim exists in any public source. But Swissmedic does not publish most advertising interventions, so absence of evidence is weak here, and ViaSlim’s public content is materially more exposed than the journalism that was targeted.
Not against ViaSlim, but on the record for a director. Dr. Abdel-Latif Consulting AG received an Aufforderung infolge Organisationsmangel under Art. 939 Abs. 1 OR, with a 30-day remedy deadline of 6 June 2025. It was cured by a Sitzverlegung on 23 July 2025.
So ViaSlim’s newest board member had an organisational-deficiency proceeding against his own company two months before joining ViaSlim’s board. Not disqualifying, but it is on the record.
SMOB sent an open letter to the BAG drawing attention to “current problems with the implementation of the Wegovy specialty list”. Both the German and English PDFs are now 404 on smob.ch. The letter’s existence and date are verified from the SMOB news page; its content could not be read, and the removal of the PDFs is itself worth noting.
This is the finding that matters most. The BAG has defined formal criteria for the recognition of medical obesity centres, now applied within the Spezialitätenliste for reimbursement of pharmacological treatments. Applications go to a joint SMOB and SSED/ASEMO committee.
It converts ViaSlim’s self-declared “erstes hybrides Adipositaszentrum der Schweiz” from a marketing claim into something a committee has to grant. The framework tightens every soft edge:
- Centre led by a board-approved internist with demonstrated obesity expertise, an endocrinologist/diabetologist, or a bariatric visceral surgeon
- Prescribers without endocrinology credentials must obtain the ASEMO-SGED obesity certification within three years. That lands on Niebuhr, Dervishi, Guicciardini, Lasica and Benninger
- Consistent annual caseload of 300 comprehensive-management patients
- Physical infrastructure at each site: bariatric chairs and tables, high-capacity scales, large cuffs, rooms sized for safe mobility. A telemedicine-first operator must satisfy this three times over
- Established collaborations with a certified nutritionist, a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist, and a physiotherapist, plus a SMOB-approved bariatric centre
- Leadership must have attended two full-day educational meetings annually over the last three years. ViaSlim was incorporated in May 2024, so a three-year lookback is arithmetically hard
Where ViaSlim is strong: the SMOB link is genuine and looks deliberate. Klinik Beau Site Bern is a recognised bariatric Referenzzentrum with Zehetner among its surgeons, and ViaSlim’s Bern branch sits inside Zehetner’s Swiss1Chirurgie AG. The branch was moved into that entity in April 2025, eleven months before this framework was published.
Where it is exposed: leadership qualification, the obesity certification for its non-endocrinologist prescribers, the psychologist and physiotherapist affiliations, the CME lookback, and physical infrastructure at three sites. No list of recognised centres has been published yet, so this is a live, dated, checkable question to put to ViaSlim and to SMOB.
1. The 225 versus 299 gap. Users arrive from a page promising CHF 225 and reach a checkout charging CHF 299, with a CHF 499 tier never disclosed publicly. Combined with 13 billing periods sold as “monthly”, advertised and actual annual cost differ by roughly CHF 1,200 on the base tier.
2. The 28-day guarantee. “If it doesn’t meet your expectations” on the pricing card has no counterpart in AGB 8.6, which restricts it to medical grounds and then nets off medication already shipped.
3. The dose calculator. /klick-rechner is an indexed, sitemap-listed, ungated click-per-milligram dosing tool for Semaglutid and Tirzepatid, shipped with unreplaced lorem ipsum, on a site whose own copy says prescription medicines may not be named before a medical evaluation.
4. The Adipositaszentrum assertion. One clause in a collapsed FAQ carries the entire CHF 0 proposition, on a team page with no endocrinologist. Nothing in the Limitatio requires a permit; the check happens at Kostengutsprache, per patient, by the insurer’s Vertrauensarzt. So the exposure is not a single regulatory event but a retrospective reimbursement risk across the whole treated cohort, recoverable by insurers under Art. 25 ATSG if the centre criteria were never met.
Zero SchKG-rubric publications: no Konkursanzeige, no Organisationsmangel, no Nachlassstundung. Six publications total, all Handelsregister. Nothing in bger.ch or entscheidsuche.ch. No Lauterkeitskommission ruling, no SECO or Preisüberwachung matter, no FMH or cantonal association comment naming the company.
Ordinary Betreibungen are not publicly searchable in Switzerland and remain unverified.
Read-across
What a new entrant should copy, and what it should avoid.
Copy this
- Anchor the Bern operation inside a SMOB-recognised bariatric Referenzzentrum. ViaSlim moved its branch into Zehetner’s Swiss1Chirurgie AG in April 2025, eleven months before the BAG published obesity-centre criteria that require exactly that link. Whether by foresight or luck, it is the best-constructed piece of the model.
- Publish your own real-world evidence, including when it undershoots the trial. n = 358, ethics vote, minus 13.1% against STEP-1’s 14.9%, and an honest note that the median patient never reaches the licensed dose. Nothing else in this atlas is that candid, and it is worth more than any testimonial.
- Attack the reimbursement pathway, not just self-pay. ViaSlim is the only Swiss operator that markets a CHF 0 insurance track and offers to run the Kostengutsprache paperwork. That is a genuine differentiator in a market where the Limitatio is the main obstacle.
- Build the SEO estate on named insurers. Helsana, SWICA and CSS each have a targeted post. Concordia, Sanitas, Visana and Groupe Mutuel are unclaimed and the intent is high.
- Ship four languages from day one. ViaSlim carries DE, FR, IT and EN on the site and six in the funnel. In a market where nobody serves Romandie or Ticino natively, that is cheap ground to take.
Avoid this
- Advertising one price and charging another. CHF 225 on every marketing page, CHF 299 at checkout, CHF 499 for the tier that is never mentioned, and 13 billing periods sold as twelve. This is the cleanest consumer-protection target in the file.
- Claiming a naming discipline you do not have. A public dose-per-click calculator for two prescription molecules, indexed and in the sitemap, undoes every euphemism on the homepage, and it ships with lorem ipsum.
- Gating professional content behind an unverified self-declaration button. Swissmedic has consistently treated that as insufficient to convert public advertising into professional information.
- Letting a rejected patient press “Daten korrigieren” and edit the biometrics that disqualified them, with no cooling-off and no lockout, in a market where the regulator’s central concern is whether self-declared weight is verified.
- Writing a guarantee three different ways. “If it doesn’t meet your expectations” on the card, “in full” in the checkout, and a medical-grounds-only Zusicherung net of shipped medication in AGB 8.6.
- Leaving your partner landing page unmaintained. Redcare sends traffic to a stale clone showing the wrong locations, the wrong patient count, a broken ratings widget and a price the checkout will not honour.
- Putting the Bern branch’s registered purpose at nutrition counselling while marketing medical consultations there, and advertising Basel with no Basel entity at all.
- Shipping your entire pricing table, in six languages, in one public JS file. A competitor can diff it weekly.
Open on this company
- Does ViaSlim hold a cantonal Betriebsbewilligung in Zurich and in Bern? Neither canton publishes a holder register, and both answer written enquiries. This is the single most valuable follow-up in the file, because Zurich requires the fachliche Leitung to hold a Zurich practice licence.
- Is Niebuhr registered as “Dr. med.” and as “Facharzt für Allgemeine Innere Medizin FMH”, and is Dervishi a Facharzt or a Praktischer Arzt with Assistent status? Register-derived data contradicts the website on both. MedReg was network-blocked and needs a direct check.
- Has ViaSlim applied for recognition as a medical obesity centre under the March 2026 BAG framework, and what did the SMOB/SGED committee decide? No list of recognised centres has been published yet.
- Is the Ärztlicher Leiter a member of ASEMO, SGED or SMOB? The Limitatio requires it and no evidence was found.
- Is the Bern branch operating outside its registered purpose, or is the medical activity attributed to Zurich? And on what basis is Basel advertised?
- What did the SMOB open letter to the BAG of 27 September 2025 say? Both PDFs are now 404 on smob.ch.
- How much money has actually come in, and on what terms? No capital event has ever been registered, the auditor was waived, and the only public statement is “bootstrap plus an unnamed angel”.
- What are the Google review counts for the Zurich and Bern practices? A Places API lookup on the two linked place IDs closes this in minutes.
- Who are Weight Doctors and Everyman Health? ViaSlim publishes comparison posts against both and neither surfaced in the Switzerland market sweep.
